Finished "The Year of the Flood" - Margaret Atwood.. I'll give it a 4 of 5 stars. Very well done, interesting characters, great sequel to "Oryx and Crake"

Kenny ... quite honestly, I wouldn't bother, mate. It's such a darned disappointment (I laboured through it the day it was released). And I'm a guy who used to defend Brown for his good points -- all four previous novels had 'something' going for them. Not this one. For most of us, reading time is precious; we shouldn't be encouraged to waste it.

Just finished 'Live Fire' by Stephen Leather.

Well up to his usual high standard but with a few twists. I would rate it as 4 star (out of 5). A very good read.

Side track - "Still Life" is the second book I've found this week that has both AZW and Topaz available (sadly, I've bought the Topaz in each case) I wonder if the publishers/Amazon are trying to phase out Topaz (in each case, Topaz was available first)

I liked Flood more than Ark it dragged on the last few chapters. I give Flood a 5 and Ark a 4.

Yes, that is correct... Gibraltar Stars.... I read the first two without realizing the trilogy wasn't yet done.
