If by Wildlife you mean goggies going ape and doing 180 mph over a field at 200 meters away, then yes one could say I'm shooting wildlife pictures

As I said though, I'm quite happy with the lens I have. Would just like to have one that makes me take nice pictures from further away

'k. Well if you want an all-in-one solution Nikon does have their 18-200mm. I've not used it myself, though a lot of people seem to like it. Nikon recently released an updated version with a lock (to prevent the heavy barrel from extending while in your bag) and enhanced lens coatings. Of course there are drawbacks to using a lens with such a large range. It's not as sharp as many shorter lenses, the barrel can extend or retract from its own weight at extreme angles (the aforementioned lock only works at 18mm), and then there's this problem.

If you don't mind a separate lens the there are the 55-200mm or 70-300mm models. Nikon makes two versions of either. The former has a basic version and one with VR (and seemly a slightly better build quality). If you decide to go this route definitely splurge for the VR model... it's not that much more expensive and Vibration Reduction is a big help with those telephoto ranges. With the 70-300 there is an older model with body driven AF and a newer one with a Silent Wave Motor, VR, and much improved optics. The main advantage with the older 70-300mm is that it can be bought for fairly cheap nowadays. Compared to the 55-200mms, both 70-300mm lenses are much larger, though they are designed to cover a full 35mm/135 frame (something to consider if you ever plan on purchasing one of Nikon's FX bodies)
