As far as the battery issue, I suspect that by the time the battery in my PP needs replacing, I'm going to what to (or will have already) replaced it with something more advanced.

That is my plan too. I have already figured out how I can replace the stock Chinese battery with a Nokia BL-5C of the same capacity. The Nokia battery is very slightly thicker, so it causes a *small* bulge in the battery cover, but not enough to cause any problem that I can see. My plan does call for removing the wires from the stock battery and soldering them to the Nokia BL-5C, but that is no big deal for us old electric model airplane flyers. Battery soldering is NOT something that everybody should try to do though.

My Factory LG battery says "Made in China".
![]() IIRC My 5 year old Toshiba Laptop battery was made in China. The real question is "Grade" of the parts used and how good "Quality Control" is. It is not that there are bad parts, but that they should not make it through the system to the end user. |

![]() So far, my stock Chinese battery in my PockePRO has given me no problems at all so my BL-5C plan is just a contingency plan in case it does have problems, or when it finally wears out. |

That is good in theory, but even the big boys can have problems. I'm sure everyone recalls the huge recall of laptop batteries a year or two ago. Those batteries were made by Sony and were exploding and going up in flames.

![]() For example, the Nokia BL-5C battery that I am thinking of using a possible replacement was subject to a rather large recall program 2 years ago. Nokia did stand behind their product and replaced the defective units. It is highly unlikely that an unknown company with no international brand name recognition to protect would act nearly so responsibly. |

Ok no point in starting a new thread.
I got my PP today and am charging it up. Now I have the PP turned off and whilst charging I see a big battery with a bolt through it and the activity light flash from time to time, so me thinks GREAT it is charging. Anyway after about 9 or so hours on charge I notice the icon has changed from the battery with a bolt through it to what looks like a AC wall adapter with what I assume is a wall socket to the left of it, and no activity lights flashing nor staying on. Is this a sign of that the battery is charged? Do you only get the fixed indicator light when the PP is turned on? I am running the latest firmware btw, and I'm probably correct in my assumptions but just feel the need to check. |

Mine got the same wall adaptor icon when I charged it overnight the other day. After this I unplugged it from the wall, the charge indicator at the bottom right then had 4 bars so it seemed fully charged.

Thanks Javed. I guess the documentation probably only covers charging indicators when it is turned on.

Also the indicator light at top left didn't do anything when fully charged for me either.
