The OP asked for reading recommendations for "unputdownable" books. I'm interested in that too and I've gotten some good ideas from some of the other posts in the thread.

You've made it clear that you don't like Dan Brown. That's fine--everyone has an opinion. So, feel free to ignore this thread! Why waste the time and energy trying to convince others who have a favorable opinion of him that they are wrong? It's presumptuous and intolerant.
This.

Ocean, the response you quoted was made on the 11th. Whether you just now discovered it or not, is not the issue. It's old.

Both individuals involved were made aware of this occurance.

We do not need to resurrect this old response. Move on, please, as have both parties involved.

Thank you for your understanding.

Jeffery Deaver, especially his Lincoln Rhyme/Amelia Sax novels.
Douglas Child/Preston Lincoln. Both individually and collectively.

If you haven't read them yet, there are enough books by them to keep you busy for a while.

Just join MR and enjoy reading this thread. I'm not a native English speaking guy. I read all Dan Brown's novels (The Lost Symbol is coming). I cannot put them down too.

When I read novels, I don't care about accuracy of the fact because it is novel. The sole purpose of my reading is to entertain myself.

Thanks for those who recommend other writers. I'll try them because I'm now addicted to unputdownable novels (sorry for my bad English).

By the way, I also found this thread "unputdownable"!

Sure:

Just not all of them, unfortunately. The newer books all come out in digital, but to get started you need "The Tomb", and I only saw this in pBook as well as dark-net eBook.

My favorite writer of all time is an obscure literary force named Daralyse Lyons. She's only written one book that I know of (The Lost Daughter) but it's the only novel I've ever read that kept me glued to my chair for two days without being able to put the book down. I read it in paperback but I know it's also in ebook form...
