BOb, I'm not sure what your point is?!?! That is exactly what I tell my husband after a particularly "busy" shopping trip. "But, honey, looked at how much money I saved!!"

For all the barking, etc., my dogs are pretty self-sufficient. If they want some attention, they just start chasing thier own tails and leave me alone!!

I would go out on a limb and say it's probably because my dogs aren't the sharpest tacks in the box and think their tails are another animal! Actually, it's really only my Sheltie (the male) that does it. My Shih-tzus (both females) pretty much just watch him with a look that says, "Would you look at that idiot chasing his tail, pffft" and shaking thier heads.

actually i wish my cat would chase her tail. first, because it would entertain her while letting me get some work done, and second, because my sister's cat does that sometimes and it is HILARIOUS. all the more so, because she's ordinarily a very calm, quiet cat. and then, suddenly, she goes tearing around the house like a dervish !

It is amusing to watch but since the Sheltie is a medium sized dog, he tends to knock things like furniture and people over.
