I'd like to make 5-6 different soups and creams, and serve them in small glasses with tiny spoons in them. Sort of an amuse-bouche selection...

Editing a scanned-and-OCR'd text for ebook purposes, drinking a pint of Canadian Club and Dry waiting for my brain to boil dry, and listening to This Train Will Be Taking No Passengers...
"We will adjust to this new condition of living like a man with his entrails now out of him not in, after certain techniques of torture accustoms himself to a new condition of living...train. Thoughtful godless men find god in them at the age of twenty-five but in a year death gains favor and they think themselves the more alive, You'll find them in the loose caboose where the pills are kept and the stupid juice, This one has a sleeping wheel, this one has a willing noose - Onward and on to the ends of love, pricked vanity, habit and ruse. Onward and on to a premature silence where death finds too much use..." |

I need an application that will cut up my HTML file in smaller chunks, so I can use those smaller chunks for the generation of my epubs. So, I'm trying to make such an app...

I'm sitting here, aching in every muscle in my body. But it's a good hurt. My son and I got the Chronophage in the water this weekend and had a really great day of sailing with his son.
Since it was Talk Like a Pirate Day, we came up with pirate names. Since I already am Dr. Balast, I stuck with that. Chris, my son, is Beer Swap, and Lucas, the grandkid is Hungry Boy. The second day was not as good, since the wind was quite stiff. The flags were all standing straight out. Being the complete tyros we were, we should have not been on the lake. But we had her in and by ghod, were going to sail. At one point Hungry Boy called up from the cabin where he had retreated and said, "Will you guys let me know when the next really scary part is coming?" But we got back in one piece and trailered her and tucked her away. Any day of sailing where you walk away with dry shoes is a good day of sailing. |

![]() ![]() Not only did you make it to the other shore in one piece, but you made it back home again! A truly spectacular accomplishment (and a wonderful feeling, I'll bet, even with the sore muscles). ![]() |

I am pleased you don't feel the same way though, and had such a good weekend aboard your madness. You just won't get me out on a boat without a lot of screaming and biting and scratching. Cheers, Marc |

Congrats on your excellent sailing adventure. Personally I have always felt that any day sailing where I return with the boat is a good one :-)
