Yes, it was good! I mean, it wasn't up to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon mango levels, but, still...

The Loved One likes to call the above movie Crouching Down, Hiding Sausage. He's odd that way.

oh yeah, i give that one a mango too ! and i don't even like kung-fu ninja movies, in general. my ex boyfriend (who *does* like those movies...) took me to see it when it came out and i went fully expecting to be bored out of my mind for 2 hours but luckily i was pleasantly surprised.

Just finished transforming ten pounds of apples in apple sauce, and currently digesting the best lunch ever: pancakes covered with sliced apples slowly cooked into maple syrup...decadency has a new face!

For those who might wonder why I cook so much: I'm trying (yet again) to quit smoking. Forty six hours in and my freezer is getting quite full. My goal: pass the next 4 hours. Baby steps.

Got up at 3 am -- honest -- wrote seven items for a magazine in Shanghai, started a guide to spa in Britain for some magazine and worried about why I cannot get Stanza or Calibre to work because I do not understand the concept. Somewhere, somewhere, there must be simple instructions. In the early dawn I cannot find them.
And after lunch I will be too shickered (useful Australian term) to even find my computers.

Not smoking does not make me want to eat as much as it makes me want to cook, so I really really need to have guests home! Anyone wants to come for a visit?

Tonight's menu: tacos, a special request, but I'm also making a spaghetti sauce batch. It's the fourth time I quit, and everyone knows the fourth time's the charm, right? I pinky swear I'll try really hard, VR.

Spent the afternoon not smoking and walking in the Boucherville Islands, it felt really good, but I was stunned by the amount of dead trees and plants.
