How to check copyright laws in UK
Hi
I am new to the site, it took me quite a while and finally I have purchased my first Sony 505 Reader I am looking at downloading some books but am a bit worried as it says to check the copyright laws if outside Canada, I am in the Uk where do I go to check. Mollie

In the UK, as in most of Europe, literary works are public domain 70 years after the death of the last surviving author (and translator, if applicable). So basically works by people who died in 1938 or before are copyright free for you.
