Its cool that that there is now a case for sale, but good lord is it expensive! Hopefully it will come in more colors and come down in price. Amy |

Amy, do you still have your Cool-Er ? Are you happy with it ? My friend would like to order one, I told her I would ask here about it.

			1. Cool-er's internal hardware is newer than Sony's 505-300. The software displays more formats and supports justified ePubs (very important for me). The case is plastic, but quite solid (due to the rounded corners?)

	2. The software is not the most stable, even with the new firmware. But, with the new FW, it is really easy to "save" the Cool-er. 3. The cover looks great. Ordered it (Hey, it's black and so is my Cool-er, plus it's leather and seems to be very sturdy). I will let you know about it when it has arrived! @aceflor: The screen and the reading experience on the Cool-er are great. It supports more formats then the Sony and does a nice reflowing on the PDFs. So, yes, it is a good reader. The hardware is quite solid, too (never heard of a broken screen, for example, except for the lady who stepped on it with her high heels (Ouch)), the firmware is better now, but could be more stable. |

I am not happy with any ePub display around at the moment, so if the Cool-ER can handle justified ePubs that sounds like a good thing. I don't understand why such an apparently opn standard has such problems being nicely displayed on any eReader, or why it seems so inflexible (for font choices, sizes, etc.). Also, have you tried any FB2 files on your Cool-ER. I bought the BeBook because it handles so many formats, and FB2 is superb. I convert nearly everything to that format. So while I would a reader to handle ePub well, I also require an excellent FB2 reader. Thanks! |

While upgrading the firmware my cool-er got stuck on the gray gradient page as well.

IF yes, remove and reset it. Perform another upgrade, (repeat the update process) if problem continues. Netronix has a lot of work for its software team! For Amy: DO You still have your faulty Cooler with you? In other news: INdustry news reported Taiwan government has plans to invest Billions (local dollar) on Ebook production, it aims to become the biggest ODM (OEM) base for E-readers by 2013. The target market share is up to 80%!!!!! So we are expecting Asus / MSI / Acer and the lot to put out their branded devices along with dozens of ODM factories to roll out E-readers from late 2010.

A lot of people on this thread reported many issues, so what are the advantages of the cooler explaining why you would keep it instead of switching to another brand? |

Have you found a suitable case/cover for the device? My understanding is that it doesn't come with one, and you can't buy a dedicated cover - is that correct? I guess worst case, there's probably a Case Logic sleeve or small case that will fit? Thanks.
