				Kanye West, WTF?

First the yahoo from SC heckles the President on the Floor, then West barges in to an acceptance speech at teh MTV Awards to opine that he did not agree with the results. Civility is rapidly disappearing in this world. And before you get started, I thought that the Dems booing Bush II was equally disturbing. You just don't act that way.

Didn't see those incidents; but I thought Serena Williams was a bit rude at the US Open a couple of days ago. As my old mum used to say to me; "Politeness costs nothing, ya knucklehead!" |

And Serena Williams - definitely not nice. It's time we all took some chill pills before the violence starts.

I agree with Kanye, but not with the way he expressed his opinion. That poor girl! He ruined what could possibly be the biggest moment of her career. Beyonce looked soooo embarrassed! It's just another step down in the general disregard for good manners. For instance, I recently RSVPed for a rehearsal dinner, per the invitation. When I met the groom's mother that evening, she said that I was the only one who did that. She was pretty disgusted with everyone. C'mon people, these things run $35 to $50 per plate. If you don't intend to come, tell the host and save them some money. Nobody will be angry if you don't want to come, but you can expect to not be invited next time if you leave an untouched empty plate that costed an arm and leg. If you intend to attend, then RSVP. Don't make it a guessing game. And I'm finished now. Thanks for overlooking my harangue. |

These are all just more indications of me, me, me attitude displayed by all too many people these days. Honestly we don't have to all agree about everything but we do need to be civil about it.

This is the same moron that was quoted recently as saying "I would never ask a book for an autograph" Unfortunately with someone as idiotic as that, it doesn't surprise me that he's a rude a-hole as well. |

I have avoided reading the kanye krap on cnn all day, I figured it would just get my blood boiling. I can understand Serena's outburst. when you are engaged in a physical competition and your adrenaline is already pumping, it is very very understanding. for some of us there is a fine line between competitive and beserker edit... just watched the vid (I can watch cnn, just not most other things). gotta figure kanye is blowing something up his shnoz. at least Beyonce was very gracious about the whole deal Last edited by krisk; 09-14-2009 at 06:54 PM. |

Taylor Swift - Best Female Video

West was a scum-bag alright, but wasn't Beyonce a class act? Later in the show, when Beyonce won Video of the Year, she came to the stage to receive her award and said, "I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I'd like for Taylor to come out and have her moment." She then gave up her time so Taylor Swift could have her moment in the spotlight that the idiot Kanye West had so ingloriously usurped. |

Call me a cynic, but my first thought was that it was all just a publicity stunt, done with the complicity of all participants - Kanye was just the designated wanker in this latest play (fortunately, he's eminently qualified for the role). Cheers, Marc |

I always thought Kanye was a complete idiot but that was awfully mean to do to someone in that situation (personally, I don't think any of them are decent musicians). And that's why I don't watch award shows... |

Someone said on TV today... You people made him what he is today. You bought his CDs and went to his concerts. He's your fault.
