Sitting in my office and trying to get the radiators to work. I'm freezing at 8C outside (probably 47F) and 17C (62F) inside. It's way to could to even think about sitting in front of the computer and working. Could someone send some hot soup, please?

I have the oposite situation at work at the moment, our ventilation system went *KABLOOEY* last week, and they haven't fixed it yet. So it's very hot in here, and no air circulation whatsoever, I feel a mother of a headache coming along.

And that's really good advice, too. However, we rent. We can have cats (and do) but not a dog. Speaking of dogs vs. clothing accessories, if I could get one, it'd be a collie. Not a Sheltie, either, though those are nice, but a good old fashioned Lassie Collie.

wow ! i thought i was cold here ! (currently about 20°, i'm wearing a sweater and my tall socks) but that's crazy.

i hope everybody gets their temperature problems sorted out. it's a shame we can't combine the two temperatures and give everyone the average, eh ? it would be cooler for slite and warmer for ravenne (and me). meanwhile, here is some nice hot lentil soupe for ravenne (loading trebuchet... making sure lid is on very tightly...) and i'll put some nice woolly socks in there as well. and a well-iced zany carter deluxe for slite (double-checking that lid as well...). good luck.

Ok, y'all who were concerned about me can stop worrying now. This was in the paper today: Dixon Police Chief Dan Langloss issued a statement this morning that “the person responsible for this heinous crime is no longer a danger to our community.”

They still aren't saying if the suspect is dead or alive, just that he's no longer a danger. More information due to be released in 24 to 48 hours, according to the paper.

I must say I'm relieved, though not sure I'm prepared to drop my guard entirely until I have access to more information.
