Would someone be kind enough to upload an audio recording of the PP's TTS, please, so we can hear what it sounds like? Something that's in the public domain, please!

Until someone makes a custom audio recording, it is possible to hear the TTS in both Chinese and English in the last two items of this blog.

It does sound good for TTS, but it does sound like my Kindle does a better job. I'm not sure how much is due to compression of the recording versus the original recording. I'd say that some improvement is possible.

must admit that i agee with u there the kiddle does sound better so i mentioned it to amy at astak...
i suggest u mention it to tec support. i feel tts at its current level is too micanical to use for a long reading session. cus it annoys me and my partner.

but i hope they work on this for future upgrades.
it wont prevent us buying another pocet pro

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the volume of TTS without the use of the supplied headphones with a volume adjuster? Reading the documentation the volume can be adjusted on the PP for playing MP3's but nothing about adjusting while using TTS. I have had a little play but unable to find anything that will give me that option.

Thanks for that. It seems I can only go into the music player if I select a mp3, so I'll copy one over to adjust the volume.

OOps, on checking again this seems not to be the case. The volume is very difficult to control using the music file and may not work past the case of setting it to 0. I have requested a better method for this with the Jinke team.
