Sorry, but I don't care for the word. E-Reader or E-Book works fine for me. |

				A French word, no less?

The very idea recalls the old joke from Fawlty Towers: "Pretentious? Moi?" |

A French word is fine, this doe not in any way relate to this totally english speaker. It (for me) has nothing to do with Books or reading, and does not fall gently nor easily off my tounge and confused the three people I have talked to about it. Ebook is my term of choice, as only thouse who are into it anyway would say "But isn't that a format?", the great unwashed understand it.... NB: This is MY opinion, based on my experience and is in no way meant to deride anyone or anything. |

"I loaded some works on my book." "I'm reading a really good novel on my ebook." Because in my mind "book" really refers to the medium. The content itself is more accurately described as a novel, poem, short story, how-to manual, etc etc. "Works" is a catchall for these.

A car is a vehicle with a motor and typically four wheels. Certainly a Sedan falls under that definition. A book is a collection of papers bound together at one end... Last edited by Dylrob; 09-13-2009 at 11:51 PM.
