Question Anyone with the cover with light?

Anyone got their hands on the cover with light from Sony for the PRS-600?

Model number: PRSA-CL6

If so, how is it??

Thank you in advance!

Me too. It is backordered with an estimated ship date of 09/21/2009 at Sonystyle.com. Interesting.

I just got the cover with light for the PRS-300 yesterday. It works okay and lights up the screen well enough to read by, but I think the light on the PRS-700 is brighter. The light on the 700 comes from the sides so is annoying to some, but there are 4 small lights on each side. The cover / light for the 300 and probably the 600 isn't as bright but you can move it around to where it seems best. There are 2 LEDs with 2 settings (at least for the 300) and I'd probably stick with the high setting, although there really isn't that much difference between high and low.

I only tried it for a little while in a dark bedroom last night, so it might be better. The real test will be when I'm on an all nighter flight, which is when I really love my 700.

Is it worth it? I'm not sure. Have to go on a night flight before I'm sure. One thing about the 300 though - the largest font is still smaller than on the 700, so for old eyes, it takes brighter lights to read with. Got the 300 because I like the size and the brighter screen.

Hope this helps. I'll post again if I find anything else.

Cool

Thank you. That helps a little. I want the light for the same reasons... reading while traveling. I want to see how the light works with the more reflective 600...

I got to tell you, Sony spoiled us with the 505 screen... I just got the 600 and I find myself going back to the 505. But I wanted the dictionary... anyway, wife now has the 505 and will not let it go
