I am desperately searching for a good needlework canvas with either the Cluny tapestries, or something from Waterhouse. I find it incredible that a canvas and some yarn cost almost a thousand bucks. anyone have any resources?

Are you asking for a printed canvas, or a counted-stitch from a sheet of paper design? http://mistydreamz.com/index.htm creates counted cross-stitch (equally useful for needlepoint) charts from artists' work. Since the Cluny tapestry is likely to be out of copyright by now

she might be able to make a chart for you.

i think they do have a special name but i forget what my friend called them... maybe catire knows. they're usually sold in small bunches of 5 or 6 in a plastic bag, here, and are very expensive because they're imported (from guadeloupe, presumably). and you are missing out ; they've got a different flavour from regular bananas, sort of halfway between banana and strawberry i think. they're DELICIOUS.
