hey, vr, i've got a Pendant for ya.

can i just say how much i hate those stupid "faux phonetic" re-spellings of perfectly good words ?? "wite out" ??? wtf ? IT'S SPELLED WITH AN H !!! it just makes the brand (bic, in this case, which i will lament about privately, since bic is a french company) look like illiterate idiots !! or else, it makes them look like they think their customers are illiterate idiots, and i'm not sure which is worse.

(sorry, i should probably take this to the vent / rant thread.

Well, I pushed your button, didn't I? Hey, I'm just playing pedant and couldn't give a squirrel's hind end for Bic or their silly named product. I guess they could trademark Wite Out and not White Out. Or maybe they thought it was cute.

I didn't know they were a French company but I see they've come out with an exciting new product: pocket ash trays. Only problem I see is that it looks too small for my butt.

ask catire, he's like the recipe king around here (for nice things, and also disaster, and world domination, and pretty much whatever you can think of). many of his recipes seem to involve chocolate...

One of my professors used to smoke cigars (the Tuscan cheap ones) and he used to steal a moment during recess, having a puff in the 5-men football pitch (you could still smoke there, those days) and then getting the un-smoked part of the cigar in its paper box, and this in his breast pocket. Once, halfway through a physics theorem and a disequation, we begin to smell something funny- yes, you got it. It was the cigar, not having being properly put off, burning through the jacket
