More Sony Reader models to appear?

Wired UK interviewed Steve Harber, president of Sony's Digital Reading Division. Not much new information, but:

The US will also get the 3G-networked Daily Edition model, but Haber doesn’t have any news on a possible UK launch. He does, however, say that we "should expect more Reader models".

Something like a PRS-510 would be nice, but I don't really see it coming. Maybe a model with WiFi (as opposed to 3G)?

maybe they're working on colour screens.

They are probably working on a model with a 9.7" screen. I think it makes sense to have a touch screen at this size, but the Kindle DX price means that Sony probably could not charge more than $499. This would be a larger version of the Daily edition.

If they don't think they can sort out deals quickly enough with sufficient carriers outside the states then maybe the rest of the world will get a non-wireless version of the daily edition to round out the current range of devices for now, with an aim to have things signed up for the nextgen of readers with wireless.

I would love a Sony Reader that also functions as a PDA. I hate the screen size I have for my PDA and would love to have one less device to carry around.

Yeah that's it, a camera. And if you run out of things to read then you can, uh, uh, ...

Take a picture of something nearby, like a pencil. Yeah that's it. And then it will go out to the network and find a book about whatever your took a picture of. Like a book about a pencil.
