Yes, I am a Biblical Scholar

. I have no Bible on my PRS because I have yet to find an ancient Greek Bible. I would love to find an NAS or NRSV, but I have yet to find one. I use a computer program that has electronic scriptures in many many languages. I read Greek, Hebrew, Latin, German and French, so I would love to find Bibles in all 5 languages plus the English NRSV or NAS. I'm new at this thing and have yet to find what I need.

Seems we're interested in the same things.

I speak Dutch, French, German and a bit of Spanish and would love to find e-versions of NIV and Dutch Bible.
My daughter wants to study classical archeology, so Hebrew, Greek and Latin will be on her wish-list.
Please let me know if you come across any good Bible commentaries or concordance.

If you go to Gutenburg.org, there are some great volumes. There is a Cicero volume in Latin with the vocabulary in the back. It's awesome.

Thanks a lot for the pictures, the PDF looks much better than I imagined.
How fast is the zooming? Is the font still readable when the reader shows the full PDF? (it's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks as if its actually possible).

+1 - I am indeed very interested in that!
Could you also make a picture with the original PDF formatting but with the screen in landscape mode? Is it better to read?

If you are looking at the pdf in full picture, it is far to small to read. If you zoom, and it's pretty fast, nothing bad at all, you can read everything clearly.

I will post some landscape photos later.

I would love to get myself the PRS-600 (although I would want to have a look at it first hand before dishing out that kind of money!) Unfortunately I would be unable to justify the purchase since I have had my 505 for less than a year and it is working perfectly (I have 0 complaints about it!)

It'll probably be a couple of years before I get a new reader since the one I have works sufficiently well...

I have one question. Is the touchscreen as responsive as the one on the iPhone or iPod Touch? Is it made with the same technology? (They use static electricity or something.) I find that touchscreens using finger pressure are not very nice to use.

No, it's done with pressure. I've never used the other devices

. I love the touchscreen. It seems to work just fine for me. But, I doubt it's as responsive.

After reading your review, I decided to cancel my order for a 300 and ordered a 600. I figure I'm going to need a dictionary since I'm not a native speaker of English. Besides, I have good eyes and I don't think the loss in contrast won't affect me very much. Since you said the touchscreen works fine for you (you take a lot of notes), I don't think it's gonna be a problem for me. Thanks again.

Thanks! My only regret is that I don't have extra $$ for the cover. Hope the pouch that comes with 600 is good enough for protection.

I am very tempted to buy the 600. But I tested the 505 in a shop a while ago and page turning speed was terrible. I am a fast reader and this will be the major issue when I am going to decide which one to buy. I saw the video about the 600 and page turn seemed fast if not as fast as in the txtr video.
Now the posts say it has improved with PDF. Has it also improved with epub? I know it depends not only on the device but also on the file and font. But maybe someone has seen the same document on both readers? Could anyone give me some kind of "Hausnummer" (approximate impression) like a little bit faster, speed doubled...? I would really appreciate to hear about it.
