My mistake - I visualised you activating the dictionary from the library ...


An option to customise buttons would give a chance to use one of the 4 buttons on the right a new function to access the dictionary (as has already been suggested).

want us to remind him or are you going to mention it "accidentally" over breakfast/dinner/coffee, put sticky notes in his notepad/on his mirror, etc. until he "gets the hints"?

I think I'll go with accidental route... Or when he hints at getting a new tool (for example portable concrete mixer lately) I'll chime in with my woes

Exactly, I often miss the word I am going to look up due to the delay in feedback so it is very annoying starting from the top of the page again. Not having dictionary look up on a special button is very bad and a very strange design decision.

It's no use. They have no people available to work on it and it needs some arcane mumbo-jumbo since it has only 64k. I followed it for a while but I think my Cybook (the first version) is a dead end.

suggests that the design was not carried out by a user ... or by a programmer who likes 'fiddly bits 'cause he thinks they are "nice"....

We could try to bombard them with emails and suggestions, but in my opinion they are short-handed and are implementing only those things that will get most of the customers happy. Let's face it - dictionary is not something an average user will think of as a first, or a second, or even a third thing his/hers reader has to have.

It might help - it's not exactly a requirement .
No, it's a useful thing but we have no place to store it and we need it right now and perhaps will need it in some undetermined future, but it's BIG.

Not only will it be in English only, but you don't have a choice between lot's of really good dictionary's.
There is quite a difference between for instance a Webster- or an Oxford-dictionary and 'something' Sony put on their reader.
