Here's what I sit staring at for most of the daytime, windows box, windows box, linux box. All running synergy to share a single mouse + keyboard. That second keyboard in the corner is because, well, I suck at cleaning. Clean desktop policy, you say? Ah ha ha ha, but seriously, go away.

Yup, 800 GB LTO for this awesome 24-slot self-cleaning robotic tape library we bought.

That thing has made backup & restore a joy, and I don't say that lightly.

The background is the first artist's rendition of the first confirmed multi-planet solar system found outside of our own. I cried when I found this picture. Vindication for those who had dreamed of other worlds and other solar systems for so long.

Anyone familiar with the Lifehacker featured desktops will recognise that this has been shamelessly pilfered from there for my own use!

I should have mentioned the above were on my work computer/desktop.

My home notebook looks fairly similar:

On some other "faces" of the cube, however, I have pictures of my daughters, but I'll not bother sharing those.

A bit late replying, sorry, and I've no idea who the girl is. I can't even remember where I picked up the wallpaper from. Ubuntu is so much more comfortable for me than any other OS. Just feels right.
