Well, it's 6.30pm in Paris; the weekend has started. I think that you could complain.
Have you tried asking the workmen when they propose to stop?
then call the police/noise abatement people or whoever is appropriate.

hallelujah !!!!! i've just gone to the window to ask them if they planned to work much longer and the guy said they were practically finished, for the day, and with the job (he says they'll be here tomorrow too, but when i said "but it's saturdaaaay !!!" he said it would be just to clean up a bit, not making noise). thank GOD, i really don't think i could have stood much more of this.

the guy i talked to was the same one who caught that terrifying eldritch spider for me the other day and i'm pretty sure he's now told that story to his colleague (different guy than the other one that was here that day) and now they're laughing at me together (they're laughing about something, i'm just supposing it's me), but i really don't care.

for the record, it's now past 19:00, and they are only just now packing up (apparently).

Hmmmmm.... Catire plus giant trebuchet plus all those goodies he has been baking.... I bet he could get those goodies up to Chicago (and Paris, and London, and .....) with that machine. Shall we practice? I've got my catcher's mitt ready.

Hah i´d have to send you the batter because nothing I bake lasts long enough to cool. (Not that im a very good baker is just that at any given point there are more than 3 people other than me in my house(My two brothers, my mom, their respective better halves, and my/their friends ))

Case in point: Those jam square thingies I made a couple of nights ago werent there when I got up from my bed the next day, well i did get out of bed at noon because i caught a nasty cold somewhere, but still they could have left some crumbs at least!

Plus I already donated my giant Trebuchet building materials to the IOALAN (International Organization Against Loud and Annoying Neighbours)
