Aaaaaahhhhh!!! I #%*€£#% hate my frigging government!!! Everytime they buy a company they mess it up, its only the 3rd of this month but already we've had like 10 power outtages!!

Normally the wind chimes aren't so bad - although I've never liked the ones my neighbours have. But today was a windy one; and they sounded like collapsing scaffolding!! No-one can claim that's soothing!!

But the wind should die down soon, so hopefully they'll be back to minor nuisance levels soon.
I know a lot of people have to put up with a lot worse than that - so I shouldn't grumble.

HAH! I wish, it think its mostly not providing enough maintenance for the power grid and whatnot, plus not building any more substations. As long as they the Governor doesn't blame it on anti government saboteurs within the power company again and provides a solution for it....

They've sent the device to Sony for either repair or replacement, and were very polite. Unfortunately, they warned me that Sony is taking two to three weeks to return things.
Luckily, I kept my PRS 500 when I updated. I got it out of the box in which it is stored and opened the cover. Then I had a moment of panic because the screen looked exactly like a broken screen substrate. But I put it onto a mains recharge and it's working beautifully now.

I have to confess that I'm quite impartial too windchimes myself. Mainly find them annoying if they are around when one tries to get some sleep

We have one of these somewhere, but I don't think we put it up since we moved to the new house two years ago
