Firefox as a whole has been slowing down. Too much getting added on.

Good move by Sony, Chrome is super fast and Android is awesome too. I wonder how much they had to pay Google to use it this way?

Rest assured decisions like this aren't made on a whim. Some poor schmuck assembled a painfully detailed analysis of marketing objectives, likely outcomes, courses of action, cost impacts (near-term and long-range) and a recommended decision. The benefit to Sony is they get to avoid the cost of developing and maintaining the unique Linux install that currently drives their Readers, instead receiving an OS from a team that is constantly seeking improvements and enhanced capabilities while maintaining a very svelte install footprint. what is this crap..
I went to WalMart.com to check on an mp3 pre-album, and this is the window I get. Now, I can see listing IE or Firefox, but Safari and Chrome? And no Opera? Opera now has come out with Version 10, and has been at the forefront of browser technology and innovation, yet Chrome v .2 and Safari are apparently more important to WalMart than Opera. Sorry, this is total BS. Yeah, I'm whining and venting. I know. ![]() Last edited by griffonwing; 09-03-2009 at 03:18 PM. |

That, and getting over a rather mind-blearing head cold. I've had a huge headache for the last 3 days that is finally subsiding. The lights above me in this room aren't helping matters either.
It'll be great when I finally get my reader. I'm gonna take a few days off, relax, rest up, and read. |

Identify as Opera Identify as Firefox Identify as IE Mask as Firefox Mask as IE But my main gripe is that with a browser that has been here for so long, and who have brought such innovation, why many companies who make a living on the internet turn a blind eye to them, but will heartily adopt a new browser that isn't even out of beta. (meaning Chrome, which is version .2) Honestly, I really shouldnt have to mask or tweak my browser just to go to a site. I am glad for the option, but still. I will simply not be using their services. |
