it arrived!! Just now. Charging.
A few notes/first impressions:
1.the box contains a 1 gig SD card that contains 300 books.
2.the battery came already installed
3.locking and unlocking the keyboard works on epub files.
4. page turns and opening books is much faster than on the 6"
5. I haven't figured out what they have done to font sizes in comparison to those on the 6" but it all seems readable.
More when I actually have time to play.

slm, just so we have the same baseline benchmark, could you try flipping through the pre-loaded User Manual PDF and let me know how fast a page turn takes for you from button press to actual new page display?

Astak pays all freight and customs from China to San Jose, California. You pay only to have it shipped from San Jose to you.

China does not enter at all into your shipping costs and either does China customs or USA customs to get them to San Jose, California.

Please try not to create rumors (although I am sure you are well-intentioned). Rumors start very easily on MR and we are trying to give you facts.

Well, i think he was talking about me, not that you pay custom when you receive the Pocket Pro =D

Thats what i hate about MY country, they make us pay customs for EVERY thing we import or buy online =(

Robert he was responding to Chiron who lives in Mexico. There probably will be customs charges since NAFTA only covers products produced in US, Mexico and Canada.

I wonder if Australia is part of the NAFTA. There was a lot of hue and cry about John Howard (previous PM) selling out to the US a couple of years back. Will wait and see what happens with my PocketPro

Just tried it, page change in pdf user manual is appreciably less than 1 second on mine.
