I'm sure a lot of people have had a lot of positive experiences with them both. I guess i've been very unlucky for my first ever purchase of an eBook. It can only get better from here on out eh?

Ironically as I was typing this I received an email from Waterstones as I emailed and complained about them still selling a book that you couldn't download and that the customer service response was pretty poor. They couldn't find my account details or original order.....I told them not to worry about it.

I would like to confirm the really awfull service Waterstones offer I have bought three books from them which do not work properly. Two different versions of the Bible and one of John Donne's poems. Waterstones never offered any opinion about why the Bibles were so slow to navigate just gave me a refund. As I was able to aquire a copy, free, which works I did not persue the matter. However the Donne is a really good edition which I wish to own and use on my reader therefore although they have refunded my money, and acknowledge that there is a fault, I persist is asking when the edition will be corrected. It has now been over two months and they still can not say when the edition will be corrected making navigation possible. All of these books are still available on their site. Terrible service, terrible communication skills. Dick

Having tried to purchase a Steven Erikson epub from Waterstones on multiple occasions now I can concur their process is awful in the extreme, the process fails to complete, orders fail to appear yet payments are taken.
I'd would recommend avoiding them until they've worked out the bugs with this one - my blood pressure cant any more!

Well it's on the waterstones site under their ePUB section - however I wont post any links just in case - following the 'issue' that Amazon had with the HP books

The digital publisher is supposed to be Transworld Digital - I've not tracked down anything categorically anywhere saying they are/are not now in ebook format. The given ISBN appears as an ebook on the pickabook site but references back to RandomHouse but it doesnt appear there

These are also at WHSmith, so I'm sure they are legit ebooks from his UK publisher. I highly recommend WHSmith for UK ebooks by the way.

Nice to be able to find Erikson's books, even if the price does seem pretty high. I wonder when Dust of Dreams will be out in ebook.

Yes, it's really terrible that a book shop gives a customer the support number for Adobe... they sell eReaders so everybody should be a Tier 3 support expert for the software and hardware... and all the faulty books that are carefully scanned and/or produced by them... oh no!!! the books come from the publishers but Waterstones must be capable of fixing everything that belongs to everybody else... terrible that they can't tell when a publisher might get round to fixing a book...

Yes, there are problems, yes they could be dealt with more sympathetically in some cases but get real... most of these problems aren't Waterstones fault, they belong to the publishers, the software producers and the hardware producers...
