I have now passed 7,000 posts. It seems sometimes like I got the Sony Reader just last weekend and at other times like I've always had one. As I said in my first post at MobileRead, I joined MobileRead shortly after getting the Sony.

And from that first post, "In a long term test I wonder how well the Reader will survive in the near salt water environment. Will the chrome pieces become pitted? Time will tell."

How did it stand up?

7000 posts is a real achievement, particularly when we remember all the work that has gone into Your Harvard Classics, not to mention the Andrew Lang Fairy books of various colours. Also your Chekhov!
I always have several of your books on my reader, and am still very grateful for all the help you gave me when I first got mine.

Thank you all. I have enjoyed every post. All of you make a wonderful community that I am proud to be a part. I have met many fantastic people and developed several friendships over the years. It is a nice place to hang your hat. (Or park your avatar, whatever.)
