I'm afraid that we've had to edit the original post in this thread. It was lifted wholesale from another website, with no acknowledgement.
Short quotations are permissible, as fair use; though the source should be acknowledged out of common politeness. However, plagiarising longer pieces violates the original author's copyright, so is not acceptable.

Because copying and pasting someone else's work, and not attributing it to them, is illegal in most countries. That makes it a bad idea.

If you post original content (ie, own thoughts) that won't happen

moon light, we cannot legally allow copyrighted material on the forum ; when someone brings it to our attention, we are obligated to remove it or limit it to fair use (a short quote plus a link to the original site is acceptable).
