According to Robert, they are scheduled to be shipped on 31 August, which is stilla few days away. Then there will be shipping time.

Personally I think he should ship to those of us in the East first because of longer shipping time.

What's this?! Someone in Alabama who claims to be from the EAST, and not the SOUTH? Ooooh, you better hope your neighbors don't get wind of this!!

Can you confirm that TTS will operate with all the formats that the device supports?

unfortunately, i can only confirm that it has TTS, not what formats the TTS itself will support. Someone more knowledgeable? Anyone?

Southeast is still east. I never said northeast & Alabama is east from California. Actually I'm almost due east from San Diego.

It does not currently support the mobile ADE formats (ePub and PDF).

TTS formats

Dear HarryT:

This has been talked about and clarified in several posts. The TTS does not support pdf and epub yet as Adobe has to work this out with the factory. Most other formats are supported. I have only, myself, tried a few but had decent results. TTS is not perfect yet. There still is no inflection. It is, however, as good as any other TTS or (my opinion) better than any other TTS on the market.

Thank you!

I grew up in New Jersey, lived for two years in Missoura, and now reside in California. The EAST is not the least. I have traveled all over this country and every part: deep South, Southwest, COLD Minnesota, Kansas, rural New York... all have a definite and certain charm and style. I think the fishing is the best in the MidWest, the Jersey Shore incomparable, and the weather great in California. Minnesota has the great malls. The Jersey Shore for surf casting is incredible. People in Texas are friendly and know how to have a great time. Acadiana outside of New Orleans has food to die for!! Savannah is heaven-on-earth for charm and style and great Southern cooking. The winters in Arizona are wonderful. My point is: it is ALL great and each part of this nation is different and a treasure!

We in Oregon (which is NORTH of California) have been waiting for that to happen for a LOOOOOOONG time! (Of course, a little known fact to a lot of folks, at least until the last decade or so, is that Oregon and Washington have been suffering a MAJOR MAJOR subduction earthquake roughly every 300 years for a LONG time, we're talking the kind where you can't stand up for about five minutes, and where the coastline sinks about three FEET. And it's been about 350 years since the last one...

Amazon's 65% of ebook retail rice is a lot more than they'll accept for pbooks. They stock and sell my pbooks for 20% of retail.

It's worth noting that Amazon seems to be discounting all ebooks - by 40% for ebooks over $11 or so. So the percentage they retain of the sale price is not 65% but around 42% (more for cheaper ebooks). Still rather high IMO.

SDK

Hi all...
I've read every page of this topic, and I didn't see it.
Perhaps this is a question for Robertb.

Is there an SDK for the 5" Pro? If so, where is it?

I pre-ordered my 5" Pro some days ago and can't wait!
I'd love to be able to examine the SDK if possible beforehand.

EDIT: I found some info in another thread, but I'd still love to get my hands on it as soon as possible!

Hello Greglim!!

Thank you for the pre-order!

Did you maybe want an SDK, a User Manual, or a FAQ sheet?

There is an SDK but my head tech is on a family death leave and he would know where you go to get it. The 5 inch matrix on MR does show an SDK and maybe Wallcraft would know where it is.

Have you seen my latest blog on an in-depth on the Pocket PRO? That is at: www.robertbEZ.blospot.com

I am sorry to hear about your head tech.
Yes, I'd really like to see the SDK. I'm a developer.

I'll take a look at your blog now.
(Oh! You want a 'g' in that URL!)
