The 300 model seems to be getting so little interest, at least I haven't seen any 300-centered discussions here or on the Sony Reader's forum. It hasn't got dictionary support, right ? Well, at least it's kinda cheap

Of note, if it's anything like the 5" Hanvon I have, you'd be surprised at just how much difference an inch makes. It's a much, much smaller device than a 6".

I am looking at buying my first e-reader and was really interested in the PRS-600 until I saw the video. I just finally had a chance to see the 505 in a store over the weekend and am very impressed with that model. I suppose my choice is to buy a 505 before they are all gone or wait and see what other 6-inch devices come out in the future. It is disappointing that Sony didn't seem to learn from the issues with the 700 model. Well, I lived this long without an e-reader, I guess a few more months won't hurt.

Source code is up; I guess that means release is imminent. From a quick glance 600's code is 99% identical to 700's and 300's to 505's, so probably the hardware is about the same.

Waterstones in the UK say that they have two new Sony ereaders coming in. On sale from 10th Sept, which they say is a week before general UK release. They couldn't tell me the models, but the description fits 300/600 models.

From the revamped 600 touch site there is a picture of one in landscape mode... was this a known feature? I may have just not read about it before.

Starting with the 500 you could always use landscape mode on the Sony readers.
