I said we should invite you, but she said you had to be busy painting her new place or something. Plus, she wanted to stay up past curfew. But it was beautiful and somber. Pshrynk, I'm so sorry about your boat but glad that you and your son came out of it relatively unscathed!

Grace, I found it easier to deal with 31 5th graders than my 2 kids at home, too! I would come home after a 10 hour day with a bag full of papers to grade and the first question anyone asked was, "What's for dinner?" No, "Hi, Mom" or "Hi, Incredibly Beautiful and Wonderful Woman Who Graciously Married Me (okay, I know that's a stretch, but I can dream can't I ". This was almost always followed by, "Mom, would you help me with my homework."

PBOb, The minute my kids graduated high school, they became nocturnal. They would have done it sooner, but I enforced a strict lights out rule since they had to leave for school at 7AM. Now that my daughter has graduated college and become a member of the working class, she has reverted to diurnal.
