Oh, the vacation itself was quite boring, actually , which was a good since we really enjoyed some relaxing days: The weather in Croatia was nice, the camping sites were nice, the food was nice, even our kids were nice On our way back the camping car broke down so we finally had some adventure: waiting for the German automobile club (I think it's tripple A / American Automobile Association in the US, I have no idea what the Canadian equivalent is called) for several hours, being told we would have to stay up to 3 days in Slovenia until the car could get repaired, being trapped in a strange repair shop in the middle of nowhere.... We finally took a rental car to hurry home.

If I understand correctly
you preferred the breakdown more than the trip? Oh boy, you'd love my life...

Here we have the CAA. It's easy just take all American organism acronisms, replace the A with a C and it's likely to be accurate.

Hehe, no, no, you got that wrong We enjoyed the relaxing vacation, our kids were favouring the "breakdown-adventure" though. If asked by friends or relatives "Hey, how was your vacation" they answer "It was sooooo great, we had a breakdown and then the AAA came with a huuuuuge service van and we were allowed to sit in the front and they told us we must stay 3 more days on vacation, but our boring parents wanted to drive home...". I never heard them say a single word about the ocean, the camping sites etc. ......

Just went into the LRF forum...so many stickies, so many words I don't get... I just turned around and came back running to the lounge.

Ok, :deepbreath: I can do this, I can learn this!
I will convert a book today, I am a strong, bright, able woman!!

Or I could just go canoing...

...

Ok, I'll dive back there for a while, then I'll go canoing. Thousand Islands are calling.

When I was a kid Croatia was then Yugoslavia and we had a vacation trip there just like yours where the camper broke down. It was a fan belt or something similar. Dad took a pair of stockings from mother to act as a belt and it worked for a few kilometers, then he'd take an other pair and so and so. To get to the only repair center we went through all of her stockings. That was 42 years ago. Those are the memories that last as a kid.

There's really not much you need to know. I just let Calibre do all the work! Thank goodness we have Kovid around to do all the heavy lifting.

Yes, bu there's something with Calibre and 500 that makes me more incline to use Book designer... But I'm seriously clueless when it comes to computers, so there's a good chance I'll bring my laptop and Pengy to my dad and have him show me.

Or. . .you could jump on a plane. . .fly to Northern Virginia. . .and Zack could help you! He's my Go To guy when it comes to computer questions. I know I couldn't probably figure it out, but he does it so much faster than I do that it's just not worth taxing my poor brain!

Better yet, you could hop on a plane to Chicago and I could help you.... . Hey Kaz, speaking of Zack, have you had time to do the experimenting we discussed yet?

As for what I'm doing? Breathing a sigh of relief that the final for Pharmacology and Pathology (the last class in my former major) is OVER, and I still have an A average (though just barely) for the class.

Tomorrow is my final speech presentation - then getting together the outlines and other paperwork, and uploading it so I can turn it in. Then I get a week's break - and then I start on the classes for the new major. The first session will be "easier" than what I've been doing, for one, there's only one class this session instead of two, and the class is spreadsheets - using Excel - which I'm already familiar with. So, after tomorrow - I can breathe again, at least temporarily!
