I did manage to get a nap in, although the phone rang twice, both times it was telemarketers, and I must say I was rude to them. I recall the phrase "F*** off and die!!" coming out of my mouth before I hung up and went back to sleep.

I'm still a little spaced out from the lack of sleep last night, but I think I will survive the day. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Is it National Do-Not-Call registry time, Ricky? http://www.donotcall.gov It only takes about 10 seconds to do and it sure saves me from a lot of annoying calls.

Huh. I wonder if that's the equivalent of "don't ever call me again". Sure sounds like it to me!

(I'm a bit worried about you passing out at your keyboard. Might it be a good idea to see your doctor, or to consult your pharmacist about whether your medications are reacting with each other? The last thing you need is iatrogenic complications as well as everything else.)

Just finished my final project for speech class. It is, (who woulda guessed it?) a persuasive speech. One small problem though, it seems to be about 30 seconds too short! The topic is "how DRM hinders the end user"...anyone got anything I can throw in here?

That should give you about 30 seconds. And if you put it in the middle of the speech in a purely random fashion, it will be very impressive.

Can you change the pacing to eat up the 30 seconds?

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I use the term "passing out" the same as "falling asleep." I just kept falling asleep sitting at the keyboard. Now, I'm working with a bloody zombie flick on. That should keep me awake.
