No, actually, they make your life simpler by banning the hard copies of everything that you need to work with a patient and then going completely down at the peak part of your morning, causing you to have to ask your paranoid psychotic patient, "So, Insert Name Here, what did we do the last time you were in the office, which date, by the way, I cannot recall?"

Seriously?

If so, how do you back into your driveway? Or does everyone have a circular driveway?

...and how do you parallel park?

Backing into your driveway or a parking spot is "backing out" of traffic.

Hey, is that stuff any good? I'm considering acquiring a drug habit. (Well, actually, given my phobias about medications, probably not. )

WHY does my 5yo act like a 17yo with a major attitude??? I was the "good" girl, my sister was the difficult one. WHY do I have HER child????
When Shannon was 12 or 13 she started to get a MAJOR attitude. We were yelling at each other over some silly thing and I just snapped. I decided to tell her a few home truths about how she was brought into this world; 42 weeks of pregnancy, 36 hours of labor and finally an emergency C-section because she just REFUSED to be born. I wasn't proud of my behaviour, but it did work. She lost the attitude and her teen years were remarkably peaceful. Now that she's 22, she still points to that conversation as a pivotal moment in our relationship. . .and thanks me for it.

Not that you should do it, though. Your daughter is much too young.

I was thinking specifically of a public parking lot (or do you say car park in Canada?) In your own driveway -- where you don't have somebody elses car on either side of you-- you should park how ever you want.

When I see someone backed into a space in a parking lot I think "There is a guy who is not going to be paying enough attention when he pulls out because he's in to damn much of a hurry."

If I'm pulled in a parking space (instead of backed into one), I'll have to twist and turn to get out of it, holding people up longer than I would have done if I had backed into a parking space. I'll have to look at the back of the car, sides of the car and the front of the car, increasing the margin of error.

backing out onto a main street is against the UK's Highway Code, though like many other againsts' it is often done.

btw; i almost always reverse park in a park - then mutter quietly to myself when I can't get anything out o' boot....

Yes, but all that applies to backing INTO the space while you are backing into it. Also, most people don't EXPECT you do back in... but they do expect you to back out. Finally, since the front wheels pivot it is easier to back on then drive out forward... you need less room.

As someone above said, I feel that people that back in are "on the lamb" and planning for a quick getaway.

I'm usually one of the first to arrive and thus have all space to put my car exactly so that I only have to drive backwards in a straight line... Using the empty parking spaces across the one I plan to use.

If I park for shopping, I always put the boot of the car towards the most space (in most cases, towards the road ) for easy loading.
