Everybody knows in the second life
We all come back sooner or later
As anything from a pussy cat
To a man-eating alligator.

Well you all may think my story
Is more fiction than it's fact.
But believe it or not my mother dear
Decided to come back

As a car.
She's my very own guiding star.
She's a 1928 Porter.
That's my mother dear.
She helps me through everything I do
And I'm so glad she's here.

"Brining up three very lovely girls"? Personally, I reckon pickling in gin is the best preservative. It's how I retain my girlish good looks.

Looks as if no one is old enough to remember
"say kids, what time is it?"
I guess I'm just getting old....

I knew it would happen sooner or later... I was really hoping for later.

What is the definition of a sitcom anyway?

I know I watched this show a lot when I was a child:

For the longest time i thought sitcoms were about people sitting around being funny... Took like forever before I figured out that sit was refering to situation.

I blame that on being Swedish

Loved that show! Every time I hear the tune of that show, I think of the Secret Valley.

Is that sung to the tune of Waltzing Matilda? If so then I remember it. If not then I am thinking of a different Secret Valley

The lyrics I remember were something along the lines of

I know a Valley, I know a Valley
I know a Valley where everyone goes

EDIT: a quick google shows it is the one I remember (well I recall the above tidbit of the lyrics and the tune - I can't remember anything about the show!) It also shows how badly I have remembered the lyrics!!!

I don't remember Howdy Doody (don't think I was even born around that time - 34 years ago!), but I have seen enough TV shows to know roughly what it is!
