My PC is dead... It needs a heart transplant. First its vision (graphics card) had to be replaced a few weeks back, yesterday its heart (power supply) died. Just like that. One minute working, the next: nothing. And that on saturday evening, so no chance of getting a new one before tuesday evening...

ugh, sweetpea, you've got my sympathy. i just went through that about 8 months ago with my own pc. naturally it died right in the middle of a big project, the worst possible timing. it died on saturday morning and by saturday evening i had a completely new tower, i couldn't afford to wait. i hope you get it sorted quickly.

naturally ! when i needed my new one i had a list of composants i wanted, and i came *very* close to getting exactly what i wanted, but i had to take a different tower (a bit bigger, but oh well) and i think there was something else i had to switch but i forget what. i called ahead though to make sure i could get everything in one shop. there's a neighborhood which has nothing but pc shops and i didn't want to spend 2 hours going from one to another to find what i needed.

well naturally. i mean, it would make things far too easy, if one of them at least were open on monday ! (most of the computer shops in the computer neighborhood here are also closed on monday. thus my frantic scramble to get mine replaced before closing time on saturday night, the last time. i couldn't afford to lose 3 extra days of work).
