lilac i think my head just exploded from teh cuteness.

that kitten is adorable ! now i want to come to your house and play with it. can i ?

i agree with the others, take two of them, that way they'll keep each other company while you're at work. cats are very social animals and they like company. plus, if one kitten = good, 2 kittens = twice as good, right ?

Of course you can visit! Actually, my mom and sister are in your neck of the woods right now

They're about two blocks from the Luxembourg gardens right now.

I know what you mean, but part of me is terrified again that something will happen to both of them and I won't be able to afford to help them. I'll get pet insurance though.

hey ! how are they enjoying their visit ? they got lucky with the weather, it's hot and sunny right now instead of grey and rainy. actually seems like summer ! i hope they're having a good time.

i know, it's a big responsibility. when my cat launched herself through the window and into the (paved, 5 floors down...) courtyard, and i had to run in a blind panic to the vet to make sure she was okay, the price of the x-ray and everything did not help my blood pressure get back to normal. but, if you have insurance (i don't know exactly how it works) it should take care of any situations like that. and my vet was actually very understanding, she let me write her 2 checks to cover the bill and waited a month to deposit the second one. it's good to be responsible and think about these things, but don't worry too much ! i'm glad you're not going into this lightly though. too many people seem to think cats are like furry plants which you can just stick in a corner and forget about. that attitude makes me pretty mad sometimes.

still, i say get two !

Well the other wouldn't look like that

At least I don't think so. The other is black and white (big white spots).

aw ! i love black and white cats. photos ?? we had one when i was a baby called prometheus. there's a photo of baby me sleeping and prometheus sleeping stretched out next to me, he was bigger than i was at the time. seriously, get two !

Auuuww! Prometheus is a cool name

No pics of the other one (I was too overloaded with cuteness to take my own pics when I was there, the foster mom took this one for me).

completely understandable. i don't think i'd be able to tear myself away from kittens long enough to take photos either.

i tried a couple of times but he was too smart for me, and then i stopped because i had actual work to do.

You can get to about 80% if you make sure the first dot you place is in the middle of the largest opening of the big circle you will make and leave holes open in the circle until the cat is right next to it, to waste the cat's time.
