This is a privately owned forum, not a democracy. You have to follow the rules or leave.

@igorsk OK, I didn't understand. I thought it was a democracy - my error. If it is privately owned, would you be good enough to explain who owns it? I wrongly thought it was like any other community bulletin board and that it was owned by everyone. Could you give the link to "the rules" that I have to follow? I have not been able to find them on the site. Thanks very much for letting me post on your private site. I am sorry to be so troublesome - that comes from being Australian where we live and work in a free and democratic society. I recommend it. Perhaps you should just ban me for asking too many questions. |

OK Please delete my membership. There is too much censorship, abuse and not enough discussion. Thanks. |

And you are incorrect about Orwell, actually. His works are in the public domain in your own country as well as in Canada, where the Mobile Read servers are located.

Everybody here already knows you can download books illegally and that there are much easier ways then you posted. Last edited by Sporadic; 08-14-2009 at 10:53 PM.

MobileRead is a privately-owned community. The siteowner is Alexander Turcic. You can find out more by clicking the FAQ on the blue bar at the bottom of this page, and going to "About Us." Or click here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/faq...q#faq_about_us There is more information about our history and our policies on our wiki. Here's a link: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/MobileRead Toward the bottom of the link we specifically rule out hosting or linking to copyright violations: Quote:

Is saying "steal Bill the Smith's car, parked on street X, the key is in the ignition" also an example of protected free speech?

The whole "delete my membership because I believe in democracy and free speech" crock is just attention seeking theatrics. Cheers, PKFFW
