Go get you some manners boy! We don't like such talking around here. You know, we are nice and helpful people around here. And though some discussions may be heated up a bit, we stay friendly & polite in the end.

BTW: I'm not the slightest interested in HTML conversion to polish, but I'm sure there a lots of people who do have a need for this! I'm glad their problems have been solved with a little help from some friendly people here.

Hey, that's what smilies are made for...

How should one otherwise know (surely not from your "friendly" looking avatar)?

BTW: You should tell that to anappo and Krystian Galaj (I was just a bit worried by the tone of your posting).

Mmm.. actually, our little allegedly off-topic transgression here -was- about Cybook firmare! That the html viewer fails to work with standardized charsets, while actually being capable of rendering correct symbols is a firmware bug. We just preemptively fixed it, and can now taunt the rest of you who are still waiting for the update!

If there's free beer as an apology I think I might pretend I was offended

While we are at it, could we please also preemptively fix folder view, ePub support plus a couple of other things? It would save us some time waiting for the next FW

Can do - make the library sort after file path, and type in the folder it´s in into every book´s title
So you can at least see what folder a certain book is in - but propably you won´t get it to display the actual title anymore... at least for long folder names.

(*Will only work for subfolders of \ebook\ folder)

That would not fit the term "fix" but rather qualify as a "hack". And a pretty dirty one, I might add...

You don't have to rename the file.
Just make your folders. I have a tree following Genre, then Author.
For example, eBooks\Fantasy\Pratchett, or eBooks\Thriller\Larsson.
If you want something telling you where your folders begin, you can make a file you name 0Fantasy.prc, with Fantasy as title, and put it directly in the eBooks\Fantasy\ folder.
This last point I didn't do, personally. The names and covers of my books are enough for me to guess the genre.

PS : I agree it's not the best, I have 20 pages of 20 ebooks to browse nonetheless. I long for the firmware update, but patiently

I have a radically simplified version of that (just a few genre folders, author folders only when I have more than 3 books of an author, a very small tree) and keep it manageable by not carrying around too many books. As I currently don't go for extended travels I can always exchange books.
And most importantly: Any time it starts to actually feel like work organising my collection for the Cybook I decide I rather wait for folder view. It might be a long wait... but it's also tedious work which I happily save "for later"
