Ibuprofen and codeine, followed two hours later by paracetamol, followed 2 hours later by more ibuprofen and codeine. Plus heat pads. However, I now strongly recommend the mirena coil - it's made things lighter and almost pain free (I've tried not to go into tmi )

Ah... I think I tried that, and it had the opposite effect on me.

My mom used to take percocet for migraines related to the same cause. She said it didn't really stop the pain, but one ended up not caring about it.

Um... I'm supposed to be ranting... oh yeah. WHY didn't SOMEONE remind me to buy COOKIES while I was at the store last night???

Try one of the puppy doggies. They're usually great at cuddling!

All important news will get its own thread, so if you don't want to know about microkerning of fonts in latex which can be properly shown in pdf files, then only read the first post of all news.

ha! try dealing with chronic pain.... I've rodeo'd, skied, climbed, and soldiered all my life. some of my scars have scars. the last bit of my tail bone has been hanging free of the rest of my spine for about 10 years (falling off of phone poles and mountains) . my right knee is completely blown and I am bone on bone and missing one ligament, the other is barely holding together.(bashed my knee repeatedly while barrel racing, then completely ruptured everything in a ski accident). I slid 2 of the vertebrae out of place in my neck while falling out of a ceiling. popped the ulnar nerve (funny bone nerve) out of the channel in my elbow when going over the top of a 3 year old colt and hanging on when I should have let go a few years ago. these are just a few of them.

my current doc wants me to take 2 and only 2 vicodin a day

I was nervous about it as I know a few people it's had the opposite effect on!

That sounds like a very sensible idea. It seems more like your current doc is trying to fob you off than do anything!

Your current doctor, no offense, is nuts. Ok, you *might* get lucky and it gets better after you have a child. Mine got WORSE. My doctor has gotten mine down to the best it has ever been right now. I hope the fix holds...
