That's very nice, actually. Maybe I should do a limited alternate cover edition.

Where do you source your images (like the figure in that one) and what's "done in the GIMP" mean? I'm sure it doesn't mean what I think it means!

I use only the finest free stock images from places like istockphoto (royalty free, although by the time I've finished with them they usually have so much changed that the royalty part doesn't mean much anyway). Here for instance is the photograph I based this cover off:

The Gimp is a free open-source image editing package that a lot of people say can't compare to Photoshop. I used to believe this too until I started using this software and I haven't looked back.

Very cool. I'm a Photoshop nut, but you've certainly done well with Gimp.

Photoshop is too heavy now, and too expensive and it doesn't have half the tools I really like from the Gimp and of course, Inkscape (another freebie)

I thought I'd better add this info to this thread, as I was rather rudely hijacking Winter's thread!

For people looking for my books in multi format ebook editions, it's Smashwords for the win. Here are two novels and one novella, multiple formats, DRM free and the novella is free! The novels are only $3.50 each.

RealmShift - dark fantasy thriller, only $3.50

MageSign - sequel to RealmShift, only $3.50

Ghost Of The Black: A 'Verse Full of Scum - free dark fantasy/sci fi novella

Ryan can have his thread back now. Sorry mate!
