Not yet, but the garden furniture has been sanded, so I can paint it tomorrow, provided that the weather stays dry.
Today I mowed the lawns, cut the hedges, pruned and weeded things. It seems that I have grass growing luxuriantly in my flowerbeds, and a lawns full of dandelions and daisies. But the small fruit trees that I planted three months ago now have two apples and three plums. |

I'm considering transplanting some colonies of daisies that have sprung up in the front yard (do folks across the pond call that a "front garden"?) to make it easier for the Muffin Man to mow the grass. Not that we mow very often. He's allergic to grass, and I prefer it tall anyway.

If the muffin Man is allergic to grass then you could think about either a camomile lawn, or maybe even a Japanese moss garden instead. |

Playing around in the Gimp (I actually prefer it now to Photoshop) and quite by accident I ended up creating a book cover like the late 70's/early 80's school text-books (at least how I remember them). Nostalgia trip!

![]() FWIW, the GP opined that it could very well be the result of Swine Flu, which they no longer are testing for in our general population, but only if you satisfy certain risk factors (seeing as it has spread so broadly now, and its symptoms have been less than this seasons regular flu). Of course, it could just be from a common cold too (the gods know we haven't been treating ourselves right for it, so our self-abuse might have got back at us). Although we're "highly infectious" (or is that just my delightful personality ![]() Last night though, I actually had a good night's sleep (first in a week). It wasn't improving symptoms (as my waking, hacking, slime-coated cough confirmed) but, I suspect, the codeine working it's poppy-magic on me. Thanks for the well-wishing, all. Cheers, Marc (coming down from a codeine high) |

Marc -- one word --
"garlic." I hope both of you feel better soon. (Hopefully Adrian doesn't catch it-- I'm guessing his coughing would keep most of Oz awake.) |

![]() I hadn't realized chamomile was a low-growing plant. The heads look like daisies, so I had assumed it was taller. That's a very interesting idea. ![]() |

Yes, though they prefer "Nocturnally Anthropomorphic Haemovores", and are remarkably effective legal representatives. It's always good to staff your legal department with beings who get the most satisfactory result without ever it reaching the "getting blood from a stone" stage. Others always seem to leave the meetings compliant and agreeable (and somewhat pale).
