I've been hitting the Discworld series pretty hard. It helps to deal with issues...

Currently on Carp Jugulum. Anyone remember where Maurice and Wee Free Men fit in the reading order?

These are separate titles from the main disc world line. Maurice is a stand alone. Wee Free Men opens a new line featuring Tiffany Aching - a neophyte witch - kind of ties into the Witches line of Discworld. Both are classified YA - but very enjoyable reads. There are 2 sequels to Wee Free Men.

You are welcome. I enjoyed reading it and picked up the other two in the trilogy and read through them quickly.

I read Hal Spacejock a couple of months ago & went out to buy the 2nd & 3rd in the series. I have the source files & need to build books from them so I can read on my device.

On my Kindle, I'm currently reading Plum Lovin' by Janet Evanovich. It's one of the Stephanie Plum "between the numbers" novellas. This one fits into the series between Twelve Sharp and Lean Mean Thirteen. Queued up behind it is Vigilant by James Alan Gardner, second in his Explorer Corps books. I just stumbled upon the first book in this series (Expendable) and was totally entranced with the universe he had created and the idea of explorers as the "expendable" members of a spaceship crew. (Kind of reminded me of the original Star Trek series where whatever crewman was selected to accompany Kirk or Spock down to the planet surface wasn't going to come back.)

In addition to these fun reads, I'm also working my way through A Framework for Understanding Poverty by Ruby K. Payne, PhD. It's for an in-service training credit.

I just started a pbook of Harry Harrison's Bill the Galactic Hero. I figure once I finish that, I'll have my Pocket Pro and will be able to read the rest of them.

After that, I'll start back on the Discworld books again, and this time, since I'll be reading on a liseuse instead of a laptop, I'll get further than the first few books.

The Young Lions by Irwin Shaw. (An old favorite I haven't sat down with in many a year.)

The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkein. For the second time. Much easier now than when I was 14.

I saw this in a box of books that I had stored up. I never found the time to read it. I think I will again, once I reread the whole series.

If you're really into Tolkien and Middle-earth, Unfinished Tales and the Children of Hurin are worth reading. UT has interesting chapters about Numenor and the Istari (wizards).

The Silmarillion is somewhat tough to read but worth it if you want the full background to TLotR.

I love the snarkiness as well. Now I think I'll go play snooker, while eating a snacker, perhaps some crackers with PB and Smuckers.

(ok, so Smuckers has an m instead of n.) :P

Slightly offtopic, I use his ywrite to write a novel. decent piece of software.

I just finished yesturday Star Trek: Stargazer - Gauntlet (Book 1)
I am now working on the Perfect Stranger by Danielle Steel. I found that there was a prequel to the stargazer series the Valiant which I will read after I finish up the perfect stranger.
