As usual, when we try to do something, it both takes longer and costs more than we thought. With no warning, my brake pads on the Tracker went out. This is usually a fifteen minute job for Chris, and brake pads aren't that expensive. Counting on that fact, and taking into consideration that we had to take Jay to the airport yesterday, Chris started on this job about 5 this afternoon. Only to find out that the parts store gave him the wrong brake pads, and plus that, the piston on one side is frozen. This means another $80.00 in parts that will have to come out of the savings account, and the work will have to wait til tomorrow, when the parts store and the bank are open. To add insult to injury, it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

[beeep] stolen [beep] sleep... [beeeeeeeeeeep] ARRRRGGGGHHHH! [beeeep]

Why can't I have a schedule that gets me home before midnight and doesn't require me to be up at 5am. Look, I need my insantity sleep (trust me, it's not for my beauty...). As if I wasn't grouchy enough, here I am still in the office with a 2+ hour drive home to look forward to watching a bunch of slow scripts and infuriating emails whilst contemplating powerpoint seppuku or word flagellation. [BEEEP], Am's house is closer than mine (I think) and last night, Zelda's probably was. [BEEEP]

And why can't people have the hundreds of other minds the keep in their skulls removed so that they can be of one opinion. One, as in not millions. One, as in not continually changing everything.

[beeep] [beep] [beep] planning [beeep] [beep] time [beep] waste [beeep] [beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep]

ARGGGHHH [beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep 1kHz tone beeeeeeeeeeee]

oh, poor lazy scot ! that sounds infernal. you have my greatest sympathy. this morning i was woken up too early three times in the space of 2 hours and i get veeeeery cranky when i don't get enough sleep, so believe me, i know what you mean. i hope those scripts finish and you can remove a few superfluous brains from the decision-making process. and if you're closer to my house than your own, feel free to stop by for a nap. you're not allergic to cats, right ?

*#@$**#**###***$ we have been having power issues since I got in this morning. I have called our vendors repeatedly to get action on this. the response is underwhelming at best. most recently I was offered a tech in Washington state. I think I'll send them an atlas

I believe if you are driven to use PowerPoint for murder in those circumstances then it is justifiable and you'll be let off with a slap on the wrist and 240 minutes without ZCs.

And you are more than welcome to kip on our sofa if some reason north Surrey is closer than south(?) Hampshire. We'd just have to find it again...

I think power companies must be all as useless as each other.
