If I were Sony I would make a deal with the publisher of 1984 and include it with the new readers. A great advertisement would be the new readers showing the cover of 1984 with the tagline "At Sony Big Brother is not watching you."

"Nineteen Eighty-Four" came with my Sony 500, I believe, if I'm remembering correctly. (I could be wrong on this. Is there anyone else who remembers this as one of the freebies?)

Sony does some of the best-looking hardware in the business. That red 600 is downright sexy.

Sorry Amazon fans, but the K looks like a Brother P-touch labelmaker.

Anothr thread reports that the 300 is going to be called the "Pocket Edition Reader" and the 600 the "Touch Edition Reader."

If the screen display is better and they offer some type of trade-in, I'm going to go for it.

One question about the 600: Looking at the picture, the area from the bottom of the device to the bottom of the display screen seems larger than on the 700, thus reducing the size of the display screen. Have we seen the actual measurements yet?

Sure would be nice if you could be happy for the new Sonys without taking a dig at the Kindle. It really gets old.

Excellent Font Support – It comes with an in-built Font Fusion Engine from BitStream that supports Chinese, Korean, Japanese. It also claims to support ANY font. The default fonts look good (these are fonts on my PC, not on the Sony)

I wonder if that'll be supported via firmware upgrade on the 700. If not, then I might have to drop my 700 for a 600.
