Browsing on cybook (if you should choose to call it that) is IMO still less of a pain than frequent lookups.
There's vast room for improvement here, mainly the UI. But Bookeen seems to disregard that.

Well, while browsing through the last couple of posts, the firmware update still didn't arrive.

And, yes, by "browsing" I meant "flipping through the pages". Fun on any dictionary, encyclopedia or atlas. Wikipedia comes close to that in some way, thanks to hyperlinks.

Guys, please, don't start again. Only tempers will flare and it will do us no good. It's been so peaceful these last couple of weeks for me. Not a word of Bookeen. I really won't mind if it stays so.

WHY not start again They have the OPUS out. THEY should now have the legal right to have ePUB on their products. They are Pathetically late at this point with a firmware update.

People who bought the Gen 3 helped the company to get to this point and helped indirectly with the release of the OPUS. So. YES people who purchased a GEN 3 should get a firmware update SOON. NOT in 2010....

Update for Gen 3 probably won't come until bookeen is done dealing with opus launch...

To me, it seems the Opus development / production etc. is a legit reason for delaying an update for a device already out and running. After all, we all have to agree, that (at least it does seem so) the resources/manpower of bookeen is limited.
Out of supplier POV, marketing and selling a new device is top-level priority.

With all due respect, but I think neither the programmer(s) nor the web designer(s) will have to do anything with the actual distribution of the Opus devices. This is usually none of their business. That's what a sales department is for (even if it is just one guy/gal).

So there simply isn't any reason why the firmware update shouldn't be online by now. Or is the Opus scheduled to run on a Beta version for the time to come as well?
