my palm is a-whining!

any ideas?

everytime I turn on my new tungsten E and look directly at the screen I get that "high-pitche whine" that you sometimes hear from certain electronic equipment. what could be causing this? I've had the unit for about 5 weeks and it just started about 10 days ago.

I have that too, but only when I connect my Clie to the electricity plug. No idea what causes it.

It often hapens that powerplugs have cheap capacitors inside, that cause the whinig sound. Got the same on my Ixus powerplug. It's the same sound, caused by leaking capacitors in monitors and tv sets.

I experienced interferences on my nokia 7650 throughout the first five seconds of a call. I noticed, that it dissapeared when the screensaver for the display kicks in. Looks like there is no place for a good shielding in new devices. So this sound my be caused by some of the chips responisble for wireless communication. Have your tried to turn off all that wireles components?
Just an idea... no real clue....
