Oh, it's still going strong - it was me who had to leave. My eyesight went very bad, very quickly, and the EBW1150 fonts were too small. We hobbled along for a while with buying different formats and converting them with large fonts, but that gets old very quickly.

It has a new mommy now, and is loved just as much as ever. I gave it to my best work friend / cubicle mate, who is also a bookworm. We never stop yakkity yakking, except during lunch when we both whip out our readers and eat in silence.

if that is not a heart warming tale, i don't know what is!! I am so happy EBW has made two people happy in her/his lifetime! im curious how old is it? (ps. i just saw a picture and its a reader that demands attention!)

I only had it a year. My eyes became too bad to read pbooks, so I got it. The good news: It took 10 surgeries on my eyes over 3 yrs, but at the checkup last month, the doc declared them fixed and said that if he didn't know what all had happened, then he probably wouldn't be able to tell anything was ever wrong with them! I go back next month when they plan to shoot some orange dye into my veins and see if it leaks into my eye, and if not, he's turning me loose to go back to the regular eye doc!

Mine got left at home today, and when I went to get it out of my bag on the tube I actually grumbled out loud. Then smiled sweetly at all the rest of the commuters. After that, I wasn't squashed too badly, and got a seat quickly...

also : honk ! i would be so sad if anything happened to my liseuse, i would cry. i'm completely paranoid about it.
