Yes, it's safe, but I prefer my poops non sparkly (and my serial killers dead before they have a chance to kill again).

Hopefully you aren't serious.

Culling the herd is one of the most terrifying expressions I have heard, when you're speaking of people.

Who gets to decide who's weak? The ones capitalism made strong? The ones lucky enough to have a happy childhood? Those in power?

On that note: This "Cheyenne" is not, as far as I can tell, a serial killer except in your own head. It's not like animal cruelty inevitably leads to murder.

You see, I have great difficulty accepting such a disregard for human life you seem to endorse. It makes it very very difficult to tell the executioner apart from the criminal.

Yeah, I was kidding about culling the herd, but not about hoping she is dead and very soon. Torture and killing of small animals is a hallmark of serial killers. In fact, I can't think of any that didn't start that way.

So, I'll continue to think of people who commit acts like that as something less than human, and you can support their actions if you prefer.

Just because I don't agree with your disproportionate sense of vengeance, does not mean that I agree with Cheyenne. And I think you know that, so kindly do not infer that I accept her actions, just because I don't think they warrant a death penalty.

Because every serial killer started out torturing and killing small animals (don't know if that is true, doubt it actually), it doesn't mean that anyone who in their youth tortured and killed small animals end up as serial killers.

Right as of now, she has killed a cat as I understand it. And she should be punished for that. But seriously, don't you think wishing that people die because they have killed a cat is a little harsh. I think it's a sound principle of the law only to punish the actions that a person HAS done, not the actions we think they WILL do.

Nevertheless, I have great difficulty distinguishing the cruelty of Cheyenne from the cruelty of you at the moment.

Killed a cat?? Brutally tortured and killed a cat. Kidnapped another animal for ransom, committed a robbery with a weapon. Yeah, she's a real sweetie.

You doubt that serial killers don't (almost habitually) start with small animals?? Do a little teensy tiny bit of research.

Meanwhile, perhaps the people of Denmark can take up a collection and move Ms. Cherry there ... set her up in a nice pet-sitting business. Or, what the hell, let her open a day care.

In this country, those who torture small animals, and who molest and/or murder children, don't last very long in prison anyway. Even if they don't have the death penalty imposed on them for their crimes, the other inmates frequently do the job for the state. That's really all I'm hoping for. I happen to believe, and very strongly, that those who torture and kill those who are physically weak or helpless should be gone.

You want her in your country .... by all means, take her!! There's a solution that just might work (except maybe for the pets of Denmark).

In fact, would you all mind very much if we sent all of our potential death penalty cases and repeat and violent offenders to live over there?? It would save us a TON of money on our prison costs ... think about it. You'd have all those new citizens with such an "interesting" background ... and we wouldn't have them anymore. It sounds like a marvelous idea to me.

Wow there is so much wrong with your post that I don't even know where to start.

First of all: There's a huge difference between torturing small animals and molesting or murdering children. I hope we can agree this far (don't know why you brought the latter into the discussion since it's hardly relevant to the case). Secondly, what you are hoping for is that your own personal vengeance is satisfied, not by the state, but by others just like you. So you have given up the notion of a fair trial conducted by the state. Now justice is applied by hardened criminals. Great! It just hasn't anything to do with a humane society. Actually it is quite the opposite. Society shows a numbness and you expect people to behave humanely?

Why should Denmark take her. Is she not a product of your own society? Actually it is you who are not willing to accept the laws of your society and instead hopes that the "streets" do the job according to your will.

If you do want to compare your country to mine: We penalize less, we have less murders pr capita, less robberies pr capita, less rapes pr capita... and probably also less animal torturing pr capita (heck I don't know). And you want to penalize more???

oh btw I did a little research about the correspondance between animal cruelty and serial killers. Turns out as I expected that you were wrong: http://www.hsus.org/acf/cruelty/publ...l_killers.html

You can hardly say that all serial killers started out torturing animals from that material, now can you.

Oh well, I say live and let live, and therefore I'll walk away from this subject (literally with a sick feeling in my stomach)

Laz over and out.

Whole lots wrong with you post. But, I've got another wonderful person that you Danes should just LOVE. You don't want Ms. Cherry?? Then how about this guy who shot his dogs because he was going on vacation and didn't have anyone to take care of them.

Do you mean "per capita"? Well, that's wonderful!! I'm sure you'll all be able to rehabilitate these people and turn them in to great and productive citizens. Really, it's a wonderful idea.

The Humane Society is a wonderful organization, but they don't keep half the criminal statistics I'm privy to. However, you guys want them, we've got them .... come on .... take them off our hands. Then you can treat them all nice and cuddly.

They guy who shot his dogs only got 90 days. He'll be out of jail in three months and available for adoption. Please ... you know you want to.

Oh, almost forgot the linkie: Please?? He could pass for Danish!!

I must applaud the Danes, it is amazing that as huge and culturally, ethnically and religously diverse a nation as it is, it has such a low crime rate.

Must be great to live in a place where no one preys on or harms the weak and all is good and harmonious. So, hats off to the one perfect place on the planet Earth!!!

Okay now I'm venting (allthough I promised myself and you I'd stay away):

Nowhere have I written that we haven't got any crime in Denmark. It's just lower than in the USA. A simple fact. Which there are many reasons for. I'm not claiming than americans by any means are inherently more violent or evil than Danes.

But it seems to me that you are completely unable to make a sound argument. If I say that I don't think Cheyenne deserves to die, I'm all of a sudden in favor of animal torturing (not to say child molesting and murder). If I say that Denmark has lower crime rates, Denmark is all of a sudden Paradise on Earth, and so forth.

Furthermore you don't seem to get that just because something has a common denominator doesn't mean that the denominator leads to a certain something. Fx just because all people allegic to cats has cats as their common denominator doesn't mean that having cat's leads to allergy.

I suggest you go outside, open a beer and cool down for a bit. Because if you aren't just steaming, I am truly at a lack of words.
