How can you not know!!! It is a beautiful film, and you are in for a real treat. If I ever make it to a Paris MR Meetup, I shall add a DVD of this film to the hobnobs. And with such a strong link to france of one of the characters sitting on the stairs....

well if that is true then i hate him all the more, because i am quite sure he could acheive the same effect without the completely implausible, sadistic nonsense he's been making (in the admittedly small sample of his work i have available to me).
