But the Thirst looks really great, potentially another quality vampire flick and those are rare.
Yeah, good vampire films, who would have thought Maybe its because they're made outside of Hollywood that they're halfway decent

Interview with a Vampire also had a holywood production and it's an excellent movie.

Here comes another hint: fishing plays a big part in that movie.

You liked interview with a vampire? I couldn't stand it, although I couldn't stand the book so I wasn't exactly going to love the movie either (why do people hire Tom Cruise?). I did love 30 Days of Night though, which a lot of people thought was awful. Maybe it's just snow and vampires that do it for me, cause I loved Let the Right One In also

EDIT: Is the stilll from the Host?

Yes, I did. It's been a while since I've seen it. But it left good impression in me. I liked how it showed that vampires are "human" too, that they have emotions and problems of their own. That being a vampire is not only about being cool, dark, mysterious, with some hip techno track playing in the background.
I'm still searching for some good vampire novels that dig deeper into the soul and psychology of a vampire. Because vampires frankly fascinate me. They have to be the most interesting and wisest people with their experience stretching over many centuries and no author seems to find it worth of giving it some consideration. Any tips in this area?

Thanks for the tip.

Nope.

Another hint: the setting is situated on a lake.

I have no clue at all what movie the still is from.

But when we speak of Vampire movies I do have fond memories of Abel Ferraras The Addiction (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112288/). Although it may just be pretentious crap. After all I was only a teenager back in 1996 (well allright, I was twenty) when I saw it.

Hmm since we're grasping at straws. Is the director Ki-duk Kim?

Sparrow, I'm sorry, I missed your previous post, but no, it's not about sisters, neither has it sisters in the title.
It's not a comedy, it's a drama, I guess, it's atmosphere is very mellow, intimate, probably due to the environment - a secluded lake as I mentioned. Not many characters, it has a love motif, the main (one of the main characters) character - the girl in the still is mute.
It has some very strong, violent imagery.

Ok, my guess then is The Isle. It seems to be about water and women and vengeance and stuff (and looks fairly interesting).

Finally, it is The Isle.
Guys, I envy you so, if you haven't seen it. You will either love or hate it.
I've seen it in on a big screen in a cinema and the experience was unforgettable.

From what I've read, it is full of animal cruelty scenes. I think I'll pass on this film. I don't think I would enjoy it.

Then I know I would not enjoy the movie. The idea of torturing an animal before eating it just makes me queasy. I have enough problems with humane slaughter houses (such as they are).
